Supportive Housing

In order to address the critical housing and workforce needs of our community, Family Services offers assistance through our newest department – Supportive Housing. Opened in 2008, our Supportive Housing programs currently provide services to more than 175 men, women and children annually.

Family Services’ Supportive Housing efforts are focused on providing housing and supportive services to individuals with children who have fled violent relationships and who are striving to both recover from the effects of abuse and to become self-sufficient.   Additionally, we provide Supportive Housing to individuals and families who have been chronically homeless due to disabilities, mental health problems, and substance abuse. Rental assistance and emergency financial support services are also available to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Housing is offered in complexes and scattered site apartments in Visalia, Tulare, and Porterville. All residents receive case management, access to individual and family therapy, support group services, and life skills groups.
