District Attorney’s Justice Run

Envisioned and executed under the incredible leadership of Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward and his staff, the annual Justice Run is hosted during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October) and is an opportunity for runners, walkers,  law enforcement, and community members to come together in support of Family Services and our sister organization, the Central California Family Crisis Center (CCFCC). The event consists of a 5k run and 1 mile walk to raise funds for our local domestic violence shelters. 3rd Annual Justice Run (2013 )
On October 12, 2013 at 8am, Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward will host the 3rd Annual Justice Run: 5k race/ 1 mile walk as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  The event will be held at Mooney’s Grove Park in Visalia and costs just $25 before Sept. 27th. All proceeds of the Justice Run benefit Family Services of Tulare County and the Central California Family Crisis Center, the two primary organizations that provide shelter and services to victims of domestic violence in Tulare County.

2nd Annual Justice Run (2012)

This year’s event was hosted on Saturday October 20th, 2012 at Mooney’s Grove Park. More than 400 runners and walkers attended in support of local domestic violence shelters. Participants brought hygiene products for women and children fleeing their homes, and heard from a survivor of an attempted homicide about her gratitude for their support of programs for victims and survivors. In total, the event raised over $12,000 for Family Services and CCFCC
