Family Services' Counseling Center has offered individual, marriage and family counseling for over
20 years.
Our staff of Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Social Workers are committed to providing quality therapeutic services to persons who otherwise might be unable to obtain counseling for economic, special needs, or other accessibility reasons. We help individuals and families make choices and changes to best adapt to their specific situations and maximize their emotional health.

Included in our Individual and Family Counseling program are counseling/educational groups for special needs or special populations. These include:
Parenting Education - Family Services uses the 20+ week “Parents Helping Parents” curriculum.
Classes are offered in various locations around the County.
Anger Management - Anger Management is a 14 week group program for adults struggling with general anger issues, not related to relationship violence. Examples of this type of anger include: road rage, anger on the job, angry feelings that impact your daily activities, etc. Participation can be voluntary
or court referred.

Socialization and Intimacy Groups-This group program has three levels. The goal is to help developmentally disabled individuals develop and maintain safe and appropriate interpersonal relationships. |

Assessments - Family Services' Therapists can provide written reports for clients or third parties requesting drug and alcohol, domestic violence perpetration, or other specialized assessments.
Other Counseling services are described under Services to Divorcing Families, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and HIV/AIDS services. |
